Friday, September 16th

photo: fire / elevator warning sign The hotel did their best to make sure that none of use missed breakfast, sunrise, or any other pre-dawn events. The first 'wake-up' call, was the sound of the fire alarm going off at 3:48 am. We all walked down the stairs and waited almost 30 minutes for the all clear. The only humor, was the site of one of the bikers gingerly carrying down a bright red cooler filled with beer. After setting it down on a table, he proceeded to have one! .....Then just as most of us were dozing back to sleep, at 4:35 am there was another fire alarm. Attendance outside was significantly less than the first. And then, just for good measure, the fire alarm sounded briefly again at 6:40 am, but by this time most guests with already wide awake!		 photo: fire emergency instructions
