Our Capitol Hill location is housed in the historic Postal Square Building. Built in 1911 with a major addition in 1929, Postal Square served as the Federal City Post Office until 1986. The Postal Service then proposed a complete rehabilitation which included a repair of the building's facade and the painstaking restoration of the Grand Lobby and the Postmaster's Suite.

Directions: The Capitol City Brewery is located right across the street from Union Station and the Union Station Metro stop on the Red line. The U.S. Capitol is only a brief five minute walk away.

Biography: Guy Timberlake

Guy is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Visionary Officer of The American Small Business Coalition. His passion for the success of others is paramount and is the driving force behind the early successes of The ASBC. Anyone who meets him will be subject to a barely bridled overflow of energy that propels him day in and day out. His exuberance is contagious and good intentions abundantly obvious.

Guy has nearly 20 years of small business sales, business development and program management experience in the federal sector. His early experiences included operational support of mission-critical programs for multiple Military and Intelligence agencies involving TEMPEST systems and related services. With a strong record of awards for products, services and solutions purchased by Defense, Intelligence and Civilian Federal agencies, he has a solid understanding of sales from an industry perspective and the contracting process from the government perspective. As important as his success is his extensive and still growing network of industry and government professionals.

Passion and energy are his trademarks, enhanced by his knowledge of navigating the oceans of info. customary to govt. contracting. He is known for his ability to consistently bring in small sustaining orders as well as hitting the “home run” on larger program-based requirements. During his career he had mastered the art of the small purchase requirement, at one point processing over $400K in orders just on govt. credit cards in a few months. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Guy was Capture Manager on one of the largest tasks ($70M) awarded under the GSA CONNECTIONS contract and Account Manager for the million dollar telecommunications infrastructure upgrade for NOAA in Silver Spring, MD.

Through innovative thinking, Guy has increased profit margins for several of his former companies as a Program Manager and has had shared and sole responsibility for oversight of the deployment of networks, server arrays and telecommunication infrastructures for organizations such as the Marine Corps, 56th Communications Squadron Luke AFB, Madigan Army Medical Center OAM, Naval Undersea Warfare Center-Division Keyport, Commander Undersea Surveillance, NOAA, US Army Reserve Command, GSA-PBS and others.

As Chief Visionary of The American Small Business Coalition, Guy is vital to the ongoing coalescing of supporters, members, partners and others that benefit from strategic positioning and referrals. His ability to channel multiple information flows and utilize the vast network resources acquired over his career demonstrate why current Members are so passionately dedicated to the mission and vision of The ASBC.

Guy is a Principal with the Washington Breakfast Club LLC, the revival of a 20-year-old institution credited with millions of dollars of teaming agreements being achieved among WBC members, and the continuing tradition of key high-profile speakers from government and industry. In August 2005, he launched The CXO Federal Forum, a private social networking organization for Senior and Corporate Executives of companies who do business in the federal sector.

In continuing support of his country and the Small Business Community, he serves on the Board of Advisors for The Veterans Enterprise Training and Services Group (The VETS Group) a subsidiary of the National Association for Black Veterans, Inc.(NABVETS), a nonprofit 501(c)3, nationally certified Veteran Service Organization authorized under the Department of Veterans Affairs. He was one of the thousands of volunteers to assist in the dedication ceremonies for the National World War II Memorial, and The ASBC has selected the USO as one of the charitable organizations it will contribute to annually.
