Thanks to all of the officers and committees of Maxplor - Excellent job. I've been to several Xplor meetings in last 10 - 15 years - this is only my 3rd Maxplor Excellent Meeting. Thank you for inviting me to attend and good luck to the Region for 2005. Could you provide information (agenda) earlier? No surprise end of session presenters. Topics and presentations were excellent but couldn't hear most of them. Use mikes! Great conference - once again! Excellent informative conference - I will plan on attending more. Burman Consulting presentation provided many examples of how to save money. Every example does not fit every customer. This caused some debate with the attendees. Xplor members should realize speaker is only providing information. All examples can not be applied to every shop.
These are just SOME of the comments we received regarding the meeting held at the Princess Royale Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland on September 9-10…
I am never disappointed in the MidAtlantic Regional Meetings. This one turned out very well. There were more then 50 attendees, and the sessions and exhibits were fantastic. The list of attendees has been posted to the MidAtlantic Web Site--http://regions.xplor.org/midatlantic/Sept2004/attendeelist.pdf
There was a Board meeting on Wednesday, September 8, and a general meeting on September 9, and some things of note should be made regarding them. Then we kicked off a full day and a half of interesting speakers and networking extraordinaire.
Wilma Grant, President of the MidAtlantic Region, kicked off the meeting at 8:35 AM. Everyone in the room introduced themselves. There were 6 first timers. Wilma introduced the Board of Directors. Bob Wert then gave the election results. President - Kathy Rixham, EDP. Secretary - Sandy Wright, EDP. Treasurer - Diana Hillman, EDP. There were two write in votes for Vice President, but they both declined. Paul LeTourneur, EDP continues as ABOD for another year. Wilma Grant assumes the role of Immediate Past President. Future meetings: October 24 - 2:30 to 3:30 - held at the Global Conference in Dallas April 21-22 - Location to be determined September 15-16 - Grand Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland Wilma then thanked our sponsors and our vendors Barry Lietuvnikas gave a short talk on the Kodak JTC. This is replacing Heidelberg. Heidelberg, Nexpress and Scitex are all now Kodak.
Special thanks go to Greg Fisher for taking ALL of the photos for this meeting!
