"Using IBM's InfoPrint Manager to print ANY document to ANY printer" Kathy Rixham, EDP--Moore Wallace, Inc. a Division of RR Donnelly We've used this tool for 5 years, and there are many tricks that I have discovered. My intent is to share some of these tips with others who may be looking to migrate to this software technology. I love the product, and I am now know as the InfoPrint Manager Goddess at work because of what I have done with it.
Kathy accepted the position of System Analyst with Moore Wallace in Thurmont, Maryland in August, 1999. Her main focus at Moore is the IBM InfoPrint Manager that runs on IBM AIX servers. Right now she is considered an expert in InfoPrint Manager as well as the Xerox NPS/IPS software. She still helps out with some Xerox metacode/DJDE jobs as well. She loves being given a job and proving that she can 'put dots on paper'. Some call her the InfoPrint Manager Goddess, though she doesn't consider anything she does 'rocket science'.
"Jargon Jeopardy" Wilma Grant--Supreme Court Introducing our new Jargon Jeopardy session, hosted by Wilma Grant. Are your project meetings filled with Alphabet Soup? Do you listen to company/agency IT, Web or Printing Personnel speak a language (all of their own) that you might need a linguist to explain: XML - DTDs - PDF - JPG - PCL - Sinks - Links - French Bands etc.? Some of the nerdy ones may even dream in trade acronyms?
In this session we'll share some of the best, remind you of trade language you may have long ago forgotten, or just educate you as to a few you knew nothing about. You can also ask the audience to explain any that may have been troubling you. Meantime, dream on folks.
